William Hall

June 15, 1930 — January 20, 2011

Mr. William Henry Hall of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of the late William Homer Hall and Velma Stearman Hall, was born on June 15, 1930 in Green County and departed this life on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital. He was 80 years, seven months and five days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member and Deacon of the Greensburg Baptist Church. He was a retired Rural Mail Carrier for the United States Postal Service in Green County. He was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the American Legion Rod Lowe Post #124 where he served as past Commander, a past Chief and member of the Greensburg-Green County Fire Department, Life Member of the Green County Sportsman Club, where he served as past Secretary, and was a former Little League Coach.

He united in marriage to Linda Durham on October 11, 1951 who survives.

Other survivors include two daughters and a son: Lisa Flack of Illinois, Tracy Barker and Todd Hall both of Greensburg; a sister: Louise Shepherd of Greensburg; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.
