Vernice Robinson

July 17, 1941 — August 22, 2019

Thursday night August 22, 2019 God came and saw that Sis. Vernice Robinson was suffering and he said, “you have been through enough”. It’s time for you to come home. He wrapped his loving arms around her and took her home.

She was born July 17, 1941 to the late James and Birdie Embry. She had obtained the age of 78 years, 1 month and 5 days old.

Vernice was a member of the Mt. Union Baptist Church and remained faithful in attendance until her health didn’t allow her to attend. She was married to Johnnie Robinson who preceded her in death.

Vernice loved her family and church. She loved to cook and was famous for her three- and four-layer cakes. She loved to cut up and make people laugh with her contagious smile and big personality, however she also knew how to get her point across when she needed too. She loved children and loved to spoil them.

She is survived by two daughters and one son: Julita Johnson of Louisville, Debora Golder of Cincinnati, Ohio and Alan Golder of Louisville, two grandchildren, four great grandchildren, three sisters: Odessa Ford of Campbellsville, Henrietta Clark of Lawton, Oklahoma and Lorene Smith of Campbellsville, host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Besides her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a sister: Nancy Owens; brother William Lewis Richardson, grandchildren: Barry Golder, Shalita Golder and De’Vonte Golder.
