O B I T U A R Y

Philip Hay of Campbellsville, Kentucky, formerly of Greensburg, son of the late Philip Hay and Duval Sidebottom Hay, was born on Monday, May 18, 1953 in Louisville and departed this life on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at U.K. Healthcare in Lexington. He was 69 years, 6 months, and 23 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Summersville Baptist Church where he was a trustee, worked diligently and chaired the finance committee. He worked for the Kentucky Transportation Department 32 years as a materials engineer. After retirement he loved farming, raising cattle and grooming the fields. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and a superb storyteller. He was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Survived by his wife of 48 years, Mitzi McGlocklin Hay of Campbellsville, having united in marriage on August 16, 1974. To this union was born a son: Philip Marshall Hay who preceded them in death on February 6, 2004.

Other survivors include a sister: Erna Hay of Lexington; a sister-in-law: Marcia Winn of Campbellsville; nephews: David Winn of Campbellsville and Steven Winn of Louisville; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

The funeral services for Philip Hay will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Central Time, Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Green County Memory Gardens. Bro. Daniel Marcum officiating.

Visitation is requested from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M., Central Time, Tuesday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7 A.M., Wednesday until time of the funeral service.
