Lucille Graham

Violet Lucille Bale Graham of Green County, daughter of the late Adlai Bryan Bale and Lily Jones Bale, was born on Monday, February 20, 1922 in Larue County and passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023 in Versailles, Kentucky. She was 101 years, two months, and two days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was the oldest member of Summersville Baptist Church. She was a housewife and farmer, while she also enjoyed cooking, gardening, and sewing. She was a member of the W.M.U., Homemakers, and was also a Dairyman Inc. member.

She was united in marriage on October 1, 1939 to Doyle Graham, who preceded her in death on October 6, 2004.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law: Martha and Randy Sullivan of Greensburg, Nancy Doylene and Bill McGregor of Versailles; one brother and sister-in-law: Bobby and Laverne Bale of Louisville; two sons-in-law: Gary Landis of Greensburg, Don Dobson of Georgetown; 10 grandchildren: Rhea and Leisa Dobson, Allen and Angie Dobson, Karen and Josh Zamora, Nicki Sullivan and Joleen Levering, Tressie and David Hird, Eric and Rachel Landis, Danea and Shawn Rogers, Alicea and Will Boleyn, Jill and Tyler Singer, Nick McGregor; 16 great grandchildren: Kaelyn and James Broderic, Zoe and Niamh Zamora, Jacob and Marthe Zamora, Casey and Christian Baya, Cara Chandler, Hadley Hird, Mary Belle Landis, Violet Landis, Graham Landis, Charlotte Rogers, Liam Rogers, Enoch Boleyn, Alice Boleyn, Abraham Boelyn, Rhett Singer, Reese Singer; one great-great grandchild: Langston Baya; three nephews: Steve Bale, Craig Bale, Paul Bale.

Ms. Graham was also preceded in death by two daughters: Mary Linda Graham Landis, Venona Graham Dobson; a great grandson: Chase Alexander Whatley; an infant brother: Adlai Gordon Bale.

The funeral services for Violet Lucille Bale Graham will be conducted at 10 A.M., Central Time, Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in Green County Memory Gardens. Bro. Jeff Eaton and Bro. Mike Akrige officiating.

Visitation is requested from 4 until 8 P.M., Central time, Tuesday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7 A.M., Central Time Wednesday until time of the funeral service.

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gideon Bible Fund which can be made at the funeral home.
