Kathy Lynn Compton of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late Curtis S. Akin and Mamie Audrey Pickett Akin, was born on June 3, 1957 in Taylor County, Kentucky and departed this life on Sunday, July 22, 2012 at her home in Greensburg. She was 55 years, one month, and 19 days of age.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Ladies Chapel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband: Jim Compton of Greensburg; three sisters: Carolyn Loyall of Summersville, Brenda Luttrell, and Connie Henderson both of Greensburg; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral services for Kathy Lynn Compton will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, July 28, 2012 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Green County Memory Gardens. Bro. Garnett Wayne Davis, and Bro. Jerry Noe will be officiating.
Visitation is requested from 4 until 8 P.M., Friday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7 A.M. Saturday until time of the funeral service.
