Garnett Beams

Mr. Garnett Beams of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of the late Woodford Lewis Beams and Maylee Florence McCubbin Beams, was born on Thursday, January 27, 1938 in Green County and departed this life on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at his home. He was 84 years, 2 months, and 11 days of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a member of the Sandlick Separate Baptist Church, and attended the South Summersville Baptist Church. Mr. Beams was a hardworking, lifelong farmer.
Survived by his wife of 60 years, Betty Catherine Pepper Beams of Greensburg, having united in marriage on September 23, 1961.
Other survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: Joe and Jackie Beams of Greensburg; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Bonnie Nolley, Gary & Mary Pepper, David Pepper (Julia), James & Zenda Pepper, Beverly & David Bloyd, Karen & Randy Bland, and Debby & Rev. Steve James; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mr. Beams was also preceded in death by a infant daughter: Angela Dawn Beams; two grandchildren: Carrie Ann Beams and Aaron Joseph Beams on February 26, 2002; a brother and two sisters: Winfred Beams, Clarola Arnett, and Mary Lois Coakley; half-sisters: Opha Jewell, Edith Price, and Gracie Bloyd.

The funeral services for Mr. Garnett Beams will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Central Time, Friday, April 8, 2022 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial in the Green County Memory Gardens in Summersville, Kentucky. Bro. Leslie Jewell officiating.
Visitation is requested after 12:30 P.M., Central Time, Friday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home until time of the funeral service.
