Brian Karp

July 26, 1938 — August 27, 2014

Mr. Brian Lee Karp, Sr. of Greensburg, Kentucky, the son of the late Charles Karp and Yetta Green Karp, was born on July 26, 1938 in Cleveland, Ohio, and departed this life on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at his home in Greensburg. He was 76 years of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Jesus Name Church in Campbellsville. He was retired from Colgate-Palmolive Manufacturing as a production manager, a veteran of the United States Army serving from 1955 - 1958, and was also a volunteer fireman for the Lake Dreamland Fire Department in Louisville.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Kay Kerby Karp, having united in marriage on October 14, 1989.

Other survivors include a daughter: Pamela Sue Karp of Louisville; two sons: Brian Lee Karp, Jr. of Louisville, and Michael Phillip Karp of Georgia; a step-daughter: Jhnellia Clements and her husband Eddie of Campbellsville; seven grandchildren: Jennifer Kowalski of Alabama, Phillip Karp of Georgia, Hayden Karp, Mikayla Karp, Payton Karp, Morgan Karp, and Brady Karp all of Louisville; three step-grandchildren: Sean Clements, Baylie Clements, and Nicholas Clements all of Campbellsville; four great-grandchildren: Abby Kowalski, Chloe Kowalski, George Kowalski, Mitchell Kowalski all of Alabama; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mr. Karp was also preceded in death by a brother: Kenneth Karp in 1996.

The funeral services for Mr. Brian Lee Karp, Sr. will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, August 30, 2014 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Green County Memory Gardens. Elder Rueal Boils, and Elder Jimmie Sharp will be officiating.

Visitation is requested after 9 A.M., Saturday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home until time of the funeral service.

Memorials are suggested to the Jesus Name Church, which can be made at the funeral home.
