ev. Ben Willis White was born on November 30, 1934 to Lincoln and Edna White in Green County. He departed this life May 5, 2012 after a short illness and the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, having attained the age of seventy-seven years, five months and five days.
Rev. White had many accomplishments. He attended the Simmons Bible College Extension. He was a faithful member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, adult and junior Sunday school teacher, member of the pastor choir brotherhood, Laymen's League and the Zion District Choir. He was a deacon of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church until he accepted his call into the ministry. Rev. White was ordained March 27, 1994. He was pastor of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church and served as pastor for 2nd Christian Church, until the position was filled. He enjoyed go-cart, stock car and Nascar racing. He loved people no matter your race, culture, society of economical status. He enjoyed good music, preaching, family, friends and making people laugh.
Ben is preceded in death by his parents, Lincoln and Edna White, brothers, Wallace, Lincoln, Jr. and Abra White. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife of 54 years, Ella Ingram White, one son, David of Sycamore, Illinois, daughter, Lucille Dixon (Shelby) of Bonnieville, KY, granddaughter, Lucretia Campbell (Jamar) and grandsons, Bradley Holler and Benoni Dixon and eight great-grandchildren, one brother, James White of Indianapolis, Indiana, five sisters, Ernestine Jackson of Louisville, KY, Elizabeth Newby (Earl) of Prospect, KY, Susie Pearl (Robert Lee) of Greensburg, KY, Barbara Porter of Lebanon, KY, Martha Richardson of Nicholasville, KY, and a host of other nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation: 3-8 p.m. Central Time Tuesday, May 8, 2012 and 7-9 a.m. Wed. at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home and 10 a.m. till 11 a.m. Wed at the church
